I built this business from an evolution starting with commercial fishing the waters from Double Island Point in the south, to Sandy Cape in the north, and wide of the continental shelf to the East. In 1987 as a teen my dad who was a commercial line fisher, took me over the bar, I caught a big Snapper and a good AJ. From this moment on I was hooked. No GPS, an old paper sounder and working from land marks evolved to today having state of the art GPS plotters, advanced sonar and fish finding capabilities, Live Scope, Radar and GPS anchor lock. Finding and catching fish is easy, with over 7000 marks and still growing we harvest the sea at a sustainable rate, taking care to look after the rocks. In 2005 I took over the family commercial fishing business, supplying local fish shops and sending fish to auction in Sydney and Brisbane. In 2014, AMSA changed the legislation and safety requirements for commercial vessels, forcing all boats to be in survey. The decision to purchase another Vessel was made. Suzie told me to buy a bigger boat! Boys, when your wife tells you to buy a bigger boat, who are we to argue? Hence, the Vessel name MV Suzie Q. The rest is history, in late 2015 we ran our first charter and threw a few pics up on Facebook, the public went mad, and now we are booked every day of the year. We upload all of our content to Facebook and YouTube, I put a lot of effort into this, please subscribe to our channels. To avoid disappointment due to high demand, please book at least 3 months ahead, safer to be 6 months. I am passionate about fishing and work extremely hard for my customers to take home more value in reef fish than they paid for the charter, many of our customers use this for food production, and book several charters per year. Personally I have never been on another charter boat, therefore I don't know how they run. Feedback I received from one of our early customers, that booked charters all over the world cemented my belief that we were on track, in his review he wanted to express, "This is not a luxury boat but instead a pure fishing experience" Now we have customers travelling to us, from all over the world!

Extended Day Charter
Up to 12 Hours
Our shortest charter. This charter is for the fisher that wants to experience a little more than the average SE Qld Charter . On this charter we travel to mostly Rocky Reef and target species such as Snapper, Pearl Perch, Mulloway and Cod. You will get the chance to target trophy fish with live baits. We will travel a significant distance offshore from Fraser Island or East of the bar. This charter offers day time Rocky Reef fishing at its best.
NEW - Extended Day Plus Charter
Up to 12 Hours
This charter is for the fisher that wants to experience the best fishing grounds we have, with the convenience of finishing early enough to travel home. We travel much further and burn more fuel than the standard Extended day. On this charter we target Coral Reef species such as Red Emperor, Nannygai, Coral Trout and Tusk Fish.
Well worth the extra money if you want colourful trophy fish.
Extreme Charter
Up to 15 Hours
Our flagship charter, this charter is sought after by seasoned experienced fishers, probably the most popular and definitely the most successful of our charters.
During your time on the water we will fish both sun up and sun down bite periods. Live baiting is the key to success however the extended time on the water allows us to experiment with artificials and cut baits to increase the variety. We leave in the dark and return after dark. Your skipper will impart knowledge from over 35 years of offshore fishing in the area, demonstrating techniques and bait presentation that will help you long after the experience. Typically your esky will be heavy at the end of the day. Due to the nature of this charter we recommend you seek accommodation for at least one if not both nights surrounding your trip.
